I am Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute of Political Science at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany, where I am working on ACCUPOL ERC project. My current work focuses on the political and bureaucratic institutions and their role in determining developmental outcomes, including political, environmental and legitimacy aspects of development. My research interests include research methodology, especially big data analysis, triangulation and mixed-methods.
In general, I am interested in developmental pathologies, including corruption, moral hazard, institutional decline and democratic backsliding.
I obtained a PhD in Political Science in 2017 from the Central European University, Hungary. I wrote my dissertation “When Bureaucrats Constrain the Grabbing Hand: Environmental Resource Sustainability in Tourism” under the mentorship of Dr Cristina Corduneanu Huci.
